Iron Fitting

Approach shots outnumber every other category of swing you'll make on a golf course. A small lie-angle error that survives unnoticed for a season adds up to a lot of missed greens by the time anyone thinks to check it.

Reading Lie Angle Live

The Number That Matters Is the One at Impact

A club can rest perfectly flat on a bench and still deliver a completely different lie angle the instant it strikes turf, because posture, grip pressure, and swing plane all shift the shaft slightly during the downswing. We layer impact tape readings on a lie board against the camera's face-angle capture to record what the club is actually doing at contact.

A gap of even two degrees between resting and dynamic lie is enough to push a consistent pattern of shots to one side of the pin — and it's routinely blamed on setup or alignment instead of the iron itself.

Even Steps, Not Guessed Ones

We record carry distance for every iron already in play, then work backward through loft, length, and shaft profile until the yardage steps between clubs land close to equal from top to bottom.

Build Decisions

Three Choices We Work Through With You

Shaft Category

Steel, graphite, and hybrid-construction shafts each transfer feel and launch differently. We run comparisons against your recorded tempo rather than a chart.

Head Class

Blade, players'-distance, and cavity-back heads sit on a sliding scale of forgiveness versus shot-shaping control — we place you on that scale using actual strike-pattern data.

Set Transition

Where irons hand off to hybrids or fairway woods is a distance-gap decision, not a tradition — we plot it directly against your measured carries.
